The attached video project is extremely performance-based.  Students are required to read, operate a camera, verify good audio quality and edit with the i-Movie program.

Attached is a performance based activity that is basically a lesson (project)where the students apply the vocabulary they learned on giving directions.  They were assigned a Cobb County school that was not close by.  They had to actually visit the cobbk12.org website and find maps to the different schools.  They also had to research the schools and present 3 things about the school that is different from Lassiter.  This was organized with PowerPoint.  They also created a conversation that they presented in class using all the "directional" vocabulary from the chapter explaining how to get to these schools.  A lot of my students knew nothing about the locations of the schools or even that some of them existed!  They really liked this activity because it was "authentic" learning.
