Spotlight on aligning curriculum, assessment, and instruction
The following information is from a learning session about aligning curriculum, assessment, and instruction. The session was facilitated at Barber Middle School by Ashlynn Campbell on November 4, 2008. Teachers participated in a strategy modeled for collaborative instructional planning utilizing the Understanding by Design format, critical friend review process, and the process for unpacking the standards. The goal of the session was to strengthen collaborative planning to ensure adequate alignment of the curriculum, assessments, and instruction.
